Edit a sent message
Continue from an earlier point in a conversation.

Overview
Editing a prompt returns the visible conversation to that message. Messages below it are removed from the current displayed branch.
The system retains archived conversation records where supported. A cleaner visible branch is not a promise that every earlier detail will appear in every later AI response.
Steps
- Find the user message you want to change.
- Open its edit action.
- Make your changes and submit the edit.
- Check the updated bubble and the shortened visible conversation.
- Continue from the edited point.

Keep in mind
Keep independent copies of important work. Do not rely on conversational memory as your only record.
